Chrome is the browser we test against and the one we recommend. Nixi also runs in any modern browser. Safari, Firefox and Edge, but Chrome is the smoothest experience.

What you need to use Nixi.
Use Chrome and allow microphone access. That's it. Nixi runs in any modern browser, no installs required.
Allow microphone access
The very first time you start a recording, your browser asks "Can this site use your microphone?". Click Allow. If you accidentally clicked Block, here's how to fix it:
- Open the site permissions for app.nixiai.ai and set Microphone to Allow, then reload the tab. Chrome / Edge / Firefox keep this behind the lock or shield icon next to the URL; Safari has it under Safari → Settings → Websites → Microphone.
- Mac users may also need to grant the browser microphone permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
What we ask for, and what we don't
During a recording, your browser converts your microphone input into a clean audio stream and sends it to us in real time. That's the only browser permission we use.
