We build AI that doctors use during real appointments. It is already in daily clinical use, with real users and German medical data, not a prototype waiting for a launch. We are two founders who aim high and move fast, and we want one engineer of the same kind to own the models behind the product with us.

It is real and it ships. What you build reaches physicians within weeks, not quarters.

The work

You will train and fine-tune language and speech (ASR) models on clinical data in German, build and clean the datasets behind them, set up the retrieval that grounds them, and prove that each change makes the output better. You own the models behind the product, from a notebook to something reliable in production.

What you bring

  • Strong machine learning and NLP foundations.
  • Real experience fine-tuning LLMs or speech recognition (ASR) yourself, beyond calling hosted APIs.
  • Retrieval (RAG) pipelines that hold up on messy production data.
  • Experience building agentic systems: tool-using agents, cross-tool connections (MCP), and orchestration that holds up in production.
  • Sharp data-science instincts: shaping data, building and cleaning datasets, running honest evaluations, and reading results clearly.
  • The range to take a model from a notebook to something reliable in production.
  • Fluent Python and the current ML tooling.
  • The independence to decide fast and carry your own work in a very small team.

We are ambitious and we hold a high bar for ourselves, so we want someone who does the same. We hire on what you can demonstrate: a strong university or research group, a respected company, competition results, or something you built and shipped that we can look at. The signal we care about is that you work at a high level and finish what you start.

Language

Full fluency in both German and English. Our datasets and much of the domain are in German, so this one is firm.

Hybrid: mostly remote, with regular days together in Wiesbaden. Small, honest, and fast. We are two founders who aim high and move fast.
